9:00am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News By Telegraph & Argus
A Bradford-based furniture firm has donate two trucks to help a charity deliver essential supplies to eastern Europe.
Yorkshire Aid Convoy will use the vehicles from Knightsbridge Furniture in its annual delivery of clothing and medical equipment, among other items.
The 12-tonne Mercedes Benz trucks have been collected from Knightsbridge headquarters on Thornton Road and will form part of an aid convoy which leaves for Romania in March.
Gary Dooley, a Yorkshire Aid Convoy trustee and volunteer, said: “Millions of families in Romania and the Ukraine face a lack of food, clothing, education and employment every day.
“With help from companies like Knightsbridge we can make a real change to their lives.”
