Firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire in Church Street, Keighley at about 2.30am yesterday.
Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Haworth fire stations were called out to the blaze, in a flat on the first floor above a takeaway food shop.
The man refused hospital treatment, crew manager Knox said. A chip pan had started the fire.
