Bradford Bulls player Adrian Purtell is to become an ambassador of Yorkshire-based heart charity Heart Research UK less than a year since suffering a heart attack after a match.

The player, who has been given the all-clear to play again after becoming ill following the game against Leeds Rhinos last May, is currently back in full training and competing for a first team place in the new Super League season.
