Bradford's Betty Bennett, 86, has been crowned Granny of the Month by Grannynet - a community-based website for grandmothers.
Mrs Bennett (right) was nominated by her family for being so supportive and because they “love her to bits.” She has two daughters living in Devon and in Bradford and keeps in touch with all her family including cousins in Australia by texting and Facebook.
As well as being technology-savvy, she enjoys traditional handicrafts and supported all three grandchildren through their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees by proof reading their dissertations.
