Greengates Blockbuster store survives latest round of branch closures
9:01pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in News
The Greengates, Bradford, store of DVD and games rental firm Blockbuster UK has survived the latest round of branch closures by the struggling company’s administrators.
Deloitte has announced that another 164 stores are to shut over the next few weeks, with about 800 potential job losses.
The latest closures come on top of the 168 shops already identified for closure by Deloitte, which included local branches at Ingleby Road, Bradford and Cavendish Street, Keighley.
Having started with 528 stores at the time of its appointment, Deloitte will continue to look for buyers for the stores not currently up for closure.
Administrators are in talks with a number of parties in buying the business.
