Plea to marathon runners for hospice

The Manorlands Hospice is wants people to tie up their shoelaces and take part in the BUPA Great North Run.
A number of guaranteed places for the event on September 15 have been secured by The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Funds raised allow the hospice to continue to provide care at the centre and in the local community to those living with incurable conditions.
Regional fundraiser, Rachel Cunningham said: “The Great North Run is a hugely popular event with both beginners and experienced runners.”
