With Valentine’s Day approaching, love is in the air at Guiseley Theatre.
Guiseley Amateurs are busy rehearsing for their production of Guys and Dolls.
Set in pre-war New York, the show follows a group of gamblers led by Nathan Detroit, whose long-suffering fiancee Adelaide is constantly trying to get him to marry her and settle down.
Adelaide is played by Leanne Hutton who hopes that when it comes to romance, life won’t mirror art. On stage her character has been engaged for 14 years, whereas off-stage Leanne has just become engaged to boyfriend Paul Fishburn, who popped the question on stage at the Alhambra after a performance of this year’s panto, Cinderella. They plan to marry in August, 2014.
