Sheep disrupt rail services between Keighley and Steeton

There were delays to trains between Keighley and Steeton & Silsden today when a dozen sheep trespassed on the line.

Rail staff had to slowly guide trains through the affected section of the track to prevent any collisions.

A spokesman for Northern Rail said: “At approximately 9.40am on Tuesday a flock of 12 sheep disrupted services. Some services experienced slight delays while the animals were moved on.”
