10:00am Wednesday 13th February 2013 in News
A 20-year-old man has been locked up for 18 months for possession of heroin with intent to supply.
Sohail Ahmed, of Leeds Road, Thornbury, Bradford, was already serving a custodial sentence for dangerous driving, Bradford Crown Court heard.
Yesterday Judge Colin Burn sent him to a young offender institution for a consecutive term after he pleaded guilty to the drugs offence.
In December, the kitchen porter was locked up for 12 months for a “hair-raising” police chase round Bradford.
He reached speeds of up to 80mph and kept his foot down when smoke was issuing from his silver Ford Focus and damaged bits hanging off it.
He was banned from driving for two and a half years.
