The Dodge Brothers to star at Bradford International Film Festival

The Dodge Brothers The Dodge Brothers

Live acts at the 19th Bradford International Film Festival include BBC film critic Mark Kermode and his skiffle band, The Dodge Brothers.

They will accompany a rarely-seen 1927 Soviet silent film, The Ghost That Never Returns. Pianist Neil Brand will provide a soundtrack.

Mr Kermode said: “The Ghost that Never Returns is an obscure movie few have heard of, but once seen will never be forgotten.”

Other shows at the festival, which runs from April 11 to 21 at the National Media Museum and other venues, are Aidan Goatley: Ten Films With My Dad. The show, a hit at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, features ten films that Goatly watched with his dad.

Comedian Adam Buxton says his show, BUG, is like going round to a friend’s house and having him open his laptop and showing you interesting things he’s found. For tickets, call 0844 856 3797.
