Plan to revamp former JJB Sports store in Keighley

The owners of the former JJB Sports store in Keighley want to revamp the building to make it more attractive to potential buyers.

The Keighley Retail Park store shut in September and the 1,250 square metre unit has been empty ever since. Joint owners, British Overseas Bank Nominees Ltd and WGTC Nominees Ltd, have applied to Bradford Council for planning permission to alter and extend the building’s mezzanine floor.

Their application says: “The reconfiguration is more likely to meet modern retailer requirements and assist in attracting retailers to the vacant unit.”
