Friends of the Earth welcome woodland decision

A Baildon environmental group is delighted that the Government no longer plans to sell of some of the nation’s woodland.

Following a decision not to push ahead with the controversial sell-off plans, David Anderson, of Baildon Friends of the Earth, said: “Exploitation for profit is not the best way to manage national assets, and it is important they remain in public ownership.”
