Helping hand to stopping smoking

A series of stop-smoking clubs for women is being held by Bradford’s Clinical Commissioning Groups which are replacing the Primary Care Trusts.

Aimed at women who are either pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant or have pre-school children, the clubs are about having fun, learning relaxation techniques, meeting new people and stopping smoking together.

The ‘Time 4 Me’ clubs, which run for 12 weeks, are free and will be held in five children’s centres across Bradford and Airedale including Wyke, Bierley (Bierley, Holme Wood, Tyersal), the Gateway Centre at Ravenscliffe, Parklands at Thorp Edge and the Rainbow Centre, at Braithwaite, Keighley.

For further information, call the stop-smoking service on (01274) 202793 or email them at ss.sba@nhs.net.
