Bradford University hosts its 19th development lecture today.
Chief Economist of the Department for International Development at the University of Oxford, Dr Stefan Dercon, will visit to open questioning on the sudden growth of Africa’s economy and debate its validity and sustainability.
He will identify the key opportunities and challenges facing the campaign to ensure its contribution to reducing poverty and creating affluent societies.
The lecture is open to members of the public and is free. It will be held in the Norcroft Centre at the University of Bradford and will run from 4pm to 5.30pm. To book a place, e-mail p.b.anand@bradford.ac.uk.
