St Edmund’s Nursery School and Children’s Centre, in Washington Street, Girlington, Bradford, has received an Engaging with Families award to mark its work with families and the community.
Amanda Jordan, Parental Involvement Worker who co-ordinated the evidence for achieving the standard, said: “We would like to share our achievements with all our families because they have all been a major part in this award without even realising. The families have helped us to achieve this by engaging with us and by coming along to our events and courses - even just bringing children to nursery every day.”
The framework provides a structure for schools and their settings to demonstrate the value they place on the importance of engaging families in the educational life and wellbeing of children.
