The opening of a new charity shop in Cowling proved a “spectacular success” according to the organisers of the launch.
The store, called New 2U, will now operate from a meeting room at St Andrew’s Methodist Church, in Walton Street.
This room was previously used by Cowling Playgroup, before it relocated to the new Cowling Village Hall.
New 2U opened last Saturday morning. Church treasurer, Edna Smith, pictured with from left, Stacey Binns, Joe Binns, minsiter the Rev Saidu Kanu, and Andrea Moore, said: “We took £217, which is great for a little village like ours.
“We’ll be opening every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and the first Saturday of each month from 10am till noon.”
