Police have issued this photograph of a father being sought after his four-month-old son died when his mother knocked a five-stone TV set on his head while she was high on drink and drugs.

Natalie McMillan, 25, was jailed for 15 months for child cruelty after her son Kian died from catastrophic injuries.

The judge issued a warrant for the arrest of her former boyfriend, Kian’s father, Edward Hanratty, 41, of Dirkhill Road, Great Horton, Bradford, who pleaded guilty to child cruelty by neglect at an earlier hearing, but failed to attend court for sentencing.

Sergeant Michael Moore, of the City Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team, said yesterday: “A warrant for Edward Hanratty’s arrest was issued by the court and it is important that we quickly trace this man, ensuring that he faces justice.

“He is wanted in connection with an offence of child neglect and we have therefore released this image to establish his whereabouts.

"He is from the area and it is probable that he is residing somewhere within the Bradford district.
