Spells of heavy snow greet Bradford commuters

Spells of heavy snow have been falling in parts of the Bradford district today as people made their way to work and school.
Traffic flow was slow on some roads leading into the city, particularly trailing in from the Halifax direction, said police.
And there were hold-ups at the traffic lights where Manchester Road connects with Mayo Avenue after a car crashed into a power box at the side of the road.
The exit sliproad of the eastbound M62 at Chain Bar had to be closed after an accident with speeds restricted to 40mph.
In the Craven area snow blizzards have been reported.
However, trains were running as normal and no school closures have been reported.
Temperatures today are not expected to get any higher that 4 degrees C - although sunny spells are expected later.
