East Coast train company recognised for skills provision

A train company that operates a services between West Yorkshire and London has been recognised for helping students gain vital skills.
Train operator East Coast has been shortlisted in a national awards scheme for helping students and graduates to compete for jobs.
East Coast, which runs a service from Bradford Forster Square to the capital, is the only transport company to be shortlisted for the 2013 National Council for Work Experience Awards, in the Work Placement of the Year category.
Entries have been assessed against a scoring system incorporating student support and skills development, as well as business benefits.
