A teenage girl yesterday told a Bradford Crown Court jury that her 14-year-old friend had been in love with two men accused of abusing underage girls and had slept with both of them.
The witness, who alleges she was raped by Bilal Hussain in a hotel bedroom and that Shazad Rehman wanted her to perform a sex act, said her friend loved one of them one minute and the other the next.
Cross-examined by barrister Kim Hollis QC, for Rehman, the teenager told the court she saw Rehman and her friend naked in bed together.
The girl has told the jury that Hussain, 23, of Neville Road Avenue, Leeds, struck her with a wet flip flop and threatened to kill her if she cried out while he raped her.
Mrs Hollis suggested to the girl that Rehman, 30, of no fixed address, was nice to her and did not do anything wrong. The girl said she was too embarrassed at first to tell the police that he had taken his bath towel off and made a sexual suggestion.
Rehman and Hussain are on trial accused of raping and sexually abusing underage girls they picked up in Keighley.
They are said to have plied them with cannabis and strong alcohol before taking them to hotels and a house.
Rehman pleads not guilty to six charges of rape and two of sexual assault. Hussain denies five allegations of rape and one of common assault. Both deny supplying cannabis to underage girls.
The trial continues.
