A man has been stabbed by a robber as he used a cash machine at the Co-operative supermarket in Clayton, Bradford, tonight.
It is understood the injured man, who suffered several wounds, staggered into the store to raise the alarm after his attacker ran off at about 6.40pm.
Minutes later, the robber tried to force his way into a woman's car parked nearby but she reversed quickly and he fled on foot, acccording to witnesses.
The injured man's condition is not yet known. It is believed he was stabbed with a screwdriver.
His attacker was described as tall and well-built. He was wearing a hooded top and a scarf over his face.
The woman's car, a Mini Cooper, was later taken away by police for forensic examination.
Witnesses should contact Airedale and North Bradford Police on 101.
