Keighley park playground to cost £115,000

The new playground in Keighley’s Cliffe Castle Park, due to be installed in March, will cost more than £115,000.

Grants from several sources are covering the costs of replacing the park's existing rundown play area with a more accessible facility.

The cash is coming from environmental charities – £65,000 from Yorventure and £50,000 from WREN.

Bradford Council is also providing an unspecified amount of funding.

The playground, which will be further down the hill than the existing site, will include a crawl tunnel, basket swing, wooden train and ship, sandpit.

There will also be a tower with tube slide, climbing wall and scramble nets, and a wheelchair-accessible roundabout.
