Snow brings disruption for motorists
10:30am Saturday 26th January 2013 in News
Heavy snow caused disruption, but no serious accidents on West Yorkshire roads, according to early morning police reports today.
Major routes were clear for commuters and a spokesman said: “Although there was significant snowfall, there were no serious accidents recorded across the force area although a number of vehicles were abandonned due to the snow.”

The Guys have done a sterling Job. I believe they've had to utilise the chaps who normally empty our bins ..Their efforts are appreciated. As for the side roads its time we all mustered together and did what we used to do in the past and clear them ourselves. And a round of applause to the young uns that have cleared the paths for the elderly.

If I clear the pavement I put the snow in between the parked cars so they can't get out. The drivers come back and throw the snow back on the pavement. It's a nightmare so I just go back indoors and make a cup of tea and sit by the fire. Much less hassle.

I guess chatting to the neighbours has become a thing of the past for a lot of people!
