Claire snares award for top mum

Queensbury mum Claire Hamilton is a ‘Mum in a Million’.
The 37-year-old is celebrating after receiving the gong at a champagne tea at the London Hilton in Park Lane to celebrate the annual Mother & Baby Big Heart awards, sponsored by Mega Bloks.
Accompanied by her three-year-old son, Alfie, Claire was nominated for the award by her friend Keith Johnson, for her fundraising efforts for the charity Bliss.
Tragically, Claire lost four babies and later separated from her husband after her fifth pregnancy. Her involvement with Bliss was prompted by Alfie’s premature arrival at 28 weeks. He spent three months in special care.
Through her experience she wanted to support the charity and held a week-long bake sale on Huddersfield Market in November, raising £800.
