Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed raid at a Bradford bank yesterday.
Two men, aged 32 and a man aged 31,were arrested in Bradford early today following a robbery at Santander's branch in Wibsey High Street in which a shot was fired.
Detectives are also making inquries about an abandoned Mitsubishi Pajero found on the M606 at about 7pm yesterday which could be linked to the robbery.
Witnesses had reported the gang escaping in a similar vehicle.
Meanwhile, detectives in Bradford are also investigating the discovery of the remains of a cash machine found in the back of a burned-out Mitsubishi 4x4 on wasteland in Dick Lane opposite Thornbury Primary School.
Firefighters made the find after they were called to the blaze at about 12.30am today.
“It looked pretty battered and as though it had been pulled out with chains - there was no sign of any money," said one of the firefighters who attended the incident.
Anyone with information about the Wibsey raid or any of the vehicles should call Bradford South CID on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
