Police in appeal over Guiseley robbery
2:05pm Thursday 10th January 2013 in News
Police are asking for help to catch masked robbers who attacked a couple outside their Guiseley home.
A 51-year-old man and his female partner were approached by two men wearing balaclava masks as they pulled up beside their house in Springfield Place at 3pm last Sunday.
The men, one holding a screwdriver, threatened them before taking a bag containing what police say was a "substantial amount" of cash along with the woman's handbag.
The man struggled with the robbers before they left the scene in a silver Toyota Avensis, but no-one was injured.
Anyone who saw the incident, or has information, should call North West Leeds Proactive Crime Team by calling 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously and in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
