Ofsted has praised a Bradford primary school for helping pupils to enjoy reading.
Farfield Primary and Nursery School, Buttershaw, has been rated good with outstanding features, an improvement on its previous rating of satisfactory.
Inspectors said reading was taught so well that pupils developed a love of books. They also praised the help and encouragement given to disabled pupils and those with special educational needs.
Headteacher Clare Daddy said: “We are delighted with this glowing report.
“Our whole school community, parents, pupils, staff and governors have all worked hard to bring about the improvements, which have led to Farfield Primary and Nursery School being judged as good with some outstanding features.
“This is a fantastic judgement, one that we are very proud of.”
The report praises the school leaders for ensuring that the quality of teaching and pupils’ achievement were a priority throughout a period of change.
