Courses help Keighley people live healthier
5:00pm Monday 7th January 2013 in News
People in Keighley wanting to lose a few pounds or get into shape are being urged to sign up for two new projects.
The programme is being arranged by Keighley Healthy Living and includes a weekly healthy weight course featuring weigh-ins, advice on portion sizes, recipes, and how to find out the amount of salt sugar and fat in foods.
There are also healthy weight lifestyle sessions, focusing on encouraging people to incorporate physical activity and eating well into everyday life.
Health development officer Melanie Hey said: “Both projects are an ideal way to help people fulfil their New Year’s resolutions to be healthy, lose weight or get in shape.”
