A Keighley social group raised £200 for the Macmillan cancer care charity during its Christmas dinner.

The Temple Diners held a raffle during their joint dinner with Bradford’s Dominica Assoc-iation.

The groups wanted to raise money for Macmillan because one of its nurses had supported Diners secretary Margaret Thomas.

Diners spokesman Merv Pemberton said Margaret had successfully fought cancer during 2012. “Macmillan supported Margaret and her family from her getting the results from the surgeon.”

The Diners meet every Friday at the Temple Row Centre in Keighley.
