SIR - Having attended the Bingley bonfire and firework display at Myrtle Park on Saturday, right, I would like to draw your readers' attention to the fantastic work done by the members of Baildon and District Round Table who organise this event each year.
This is a small group of young men who spend their own time organising this event to ensure that those who attend have an enjoyable, memorable and above all safe evening while watching a spectacular firework display.
At the same time they raise a considerable amount of money for charities and worthy local causes and their efforts and motivation should be commended.
This year I thought the changes in improving the visitor access to the site and using the majority of the lower field for the public to observe the event helped everyone enjoy the event even more and appreciate what surely must have been the best firework display in West Yorkshire. We thought it was never going to end!
Well done to the members of Baildon Round Table and everyone who helped - roll on Bonfire night 2007 !
