Four women completed a 12-hour long gymnathon on Saturday to help make a better Christmas for families who have been affected by domestic violence.
Jayne Booth, Vicki Broughton, Julie Horbury and Debbie Mountain spent from 8am to 8pm working out on aerobic equipment such as treadmills and rowing machines at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre, Odsal, to support the White Ribbon campaign.
Jayne, equalities officer for the Bradford branch of public service union Unison, said: “What we raise will help to buy some much-needed Christmas presents for the children who will be in refuges over that period.
“We felt we should do something to help and our 12-hour session in the gym was a good way to raise awareness and funds for the White Ribbon campaign.”
Anyone who wants to add to the fundraising should call Unison on (01274) 432291.
