Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a shop in Liversedge.
Two female staff at a hair salon were held up by a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and brandishing what may have been a handgun.
The suspect walked into the shop in Halifax Road, threatened the women at gunpoint and forced them to hand over cash from the till.
The raid happened as the business was about to close, shortly before 5.30pm, last Friday. There were no customers in the shop at the time. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The suspect fled to a waiting moped-type vehicle, which was parked on the pavement close to the shop, and rode off as pillion passenger.
Detective Sergeant Matt Hawker, of Dewsbury CID, leading the investigation, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured.”
He said there were lots of people in the Halifax Road area at the time, and urged anyone who saw anything suspicious, or the moped parked on the pavement, to contact them.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Det Sgt Hawker on the 101 number.
