Changes to Wharfedale train line timetables in December will provide better connections with services to London and give a return journey a ‘sporting chance’ of setting off on time, says a rail users’ group.
Wharfedale Rail Users’ Group (WRUG) has given commuters early warning of minor changes coming in on services between Ilkley, Guiseley and Leeds.
Train timetables will change from December 9.
The first train of the day from Ilkley to Leeds will depart two minutes earlier than the current service, at 6.02am. This will arrive in Leeds in time to connect with the 6.40am train to London.
The morning commuter train to Leeds, the 7.40am, will leave Ilkley at the earlier time of 7.37am in future.
In the evening, the 5.15pm service from Leeds to Guiseley and Ilkley will depart from Platform 1 at Leeds Station instead of Platform 10.
