Appeal to find Penny new home
6:41pm Monday 26th November 2012 in News
Penny the cat
The longest-staying resident at a Keighley animal shelter is looking for a permanent home.
Haworth Cat Rescue said Penny needed a quiet house with no children or dogs following her 12 months in care.
The charity commissioned a portrait of Penny to show potential new owners her shy, gentle, dainty personality.
The three-year-old domestic shorthair was handed in late last year after her owner died.
Rescue founder Sara Atkinson said: “As soon as she arrived, Penny hid away in a tiny corner where she felt no one could hurt her.
It was heartbreaking to see her so frightened.” Haworth Cat Rescue can be contacted on (01535) 647184.
