A Bingley builder who was rescued by the Yorkshire Air Air ambulance after being crushed by falling bricks in Keighley has raised £5,244 to help the emergency service that saved him.
Steve Cochrane (pictured) and his family held a barn dance and ceilidh attended by 200 people a the Air View Equestrian Centre, Long Lee, Keighley, and will present the check to the YAA on Monday, January 10, at the Leeds-Bradford Airport.
Mr Cochrane’s wife Margaret, who is a florist at Woodbank Nurseries, said: “Without the Air Ambulance service I would not have my husband with me today.”
