This year, in association with the Telegraph & Argus, Human Relief Foundation would like to bring Christmas to the homes of those struggling in our own city.
In Bradford, 25 per cent of our population of children are living below the poverty line. In this economic climate there are many families who are struggling to support themselves financially day-to-day.
Christmas is costly. For a family on a low income, it is a worrying time of year. With your help, we are hoping to try to alleviate this strain.
For the last 20 years Human Relief Foundation has been providing aid to vulnerable people overseas in countries affected by conflict and natural disaster.
In 2012 we have helped thousands of people in Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan and Somalia. This festive season, we want to bring that help closer to home.
Through the T&A’s appeal, you can act as a Secret Santa to a child in Bradford this Christmas. With your donations we would like to try to make sure that every child celebrating Christmas in Bradford wakes up to a present on Christmas morning.
Thank you for your support.
