The daughter of a murdered Bradford pensioner appeared on TV tonight making an emotional appeal for help in finding her dad’s killer.

As part of a reconstruction on BBC’s Crimewatch, Adelle Peterson talks warmly of her father Clement ‘Butch’ Desmier, 68, a man she says “everybody knew”.

Breaking down in tears, Mrs Peterson said: “The last thing I think about every night is how he died.

“And as much as I want to believe it happened quickly, and I prayed that he would not have pain, I know he did and I know he suffered.”

The reconstruction showed Mr Desmier’s last known movements prior to his murder at his home in Rowlestone Rise, Greengates, on Thursday, August 23, this year.

As reported by the Telegraph & Argus last week, a “wall of silence” has hampered police in finding the killer or killers of the 68-year-old.
