Idle recreation ground revamp unveiled by skaters and cyclists

A refurbished skate park in Idle Recreation Ground was officially opened yesterday after a £95,000 revamp.
The project involved the removal of the old skate park and the construction of new concrete ramps and jumps and an access path.
The equipment is suitable for skateboarders, inline skaters, micro scooters and BMX users. The park opened with a special event that included skater demonstrations, competitions, music and refreshments.
The park was designed in consultation with young people who use the site and local school children.
