Woman breaks arm in Allerton road accident

An elderly woman was taken to hospital with a broken arm after she was freed from a car which had been involved in a collision with three other cars.

Emergency services were called to Prune Park Lane, Allerton, Bradford, shortly after 2.20pm yesterday following reports of a collision.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the woman was freed from her vehicle by firefighters and taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Two of the vehicles involved were reported to be a Nissan Micra and a Vauxhall Corsa. The road was closed in both directions while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

Meanwhile, a 55-year-old man was injured in a crash involving a tipper truck and a silver Toyota Avensis in Bradford. Police were called to the collision, which happened at the junction of North Street and Shipley Airedale Road, at 2.12pm yesterday. The man was driving the car involved in the crash. He received minor injuries in the collision.
