Bradford has retained its Curry Capital of Britain title by the “narrowest of margins”, making it the third time the district has held the honour.

The 2012 competition saw both Bradford and four-time winner Glasgow finish with the same number of points from the judges. But the title went to Bradford on a tie break due to it receiving the highest number of votes in the public poll.

Organisers said that the tenth year of the competition was its “greatest ever” and they described Bradford as a city that “seems to eat, breathe and even export curry”.

So basically the public know better than the judges.
If that is the case was it ever in doubt?
Well done all concerned.
Ps any chance of the Kashmir exporting their meat bhuna out here?

Kind of a downer if this is all Bradford has going for it!

Having hundreds of **** Pakistani/Kashmiri restaurants makes it the curry capital?

Right...

Punjabi, Gujarati, Nepalese and South Indian food is all out there in abundance elsewhere in the country.

Interesting that Bradford has about a hundred restaurants with hygiene scores of three stars or less and Birmingham which is much bigger only has 19....

Thank God we retained the title. I haven't been able to sleep for weeks worrying about it!

Fingers crossed for us to retain our crowns for best illegal bazaars, highest density of car washes per capita and top quality textile emporiums!

Well done, but it would be good to see one of the afor mentioned to set up in the city centre rather than outskirts.

Well done guys!

Ignore some of the above comments I think they envy your success. Might be something to do with the colour of your skin. Still I guarantee they do love currys. (Not the electrical shop)

Shimla Spice, zouk and Aagrah are amongst the best in Bradford.
