Event will provide advice for carers

Carers can benefit from free financial advice at an event hosted by Bradford District Care Trust.
Money Matters will provide carers with access to financial advice, information and support, with professionals on hand to advise on issues such as wills, trusts and power of attorney, pensions, pension credit, disability living allowance, attendance allowance, carers’ allowance, working, fuel costs and housing benefit.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive employment advice from the Job Centre Plus.
Jan Rhodes, carers’ support co-ordinator at Bradford District Care Trust, said: “It’s a great opportunity for carers to talk to people who are an expert in these fields and also to find support to help with the home budget.”
The drop-in event is on Wednesday, November 7, from 10am to 12.30pm at the Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford.
