Two people were seen setting fire to a car in Goodfellow Close, Cottingley.
A Shipley fire crew was called to the scene at 10.30pm on Friday night.
The car was severely damaged and the interior burned out. The arsonists are believed to have started the blaze with a can of petrol and a lighter and were seen escaping on foot across Goodfellow Close up towards Cottingley Moor Road.
