British Transport Police are appealing for information following an alleged sexual assault on two women at Bradford Forster Square railway station.

The two Bradford woman, aged 18 and 19, reported they had been approached by a young male while at the station. The youth then attempted to sexually assault the victims before grabbing them both around the neck.

One of the women managed to escape while the second was placed in a bear hug by the suspect, who then kissed her on the cheek. She then also managed to break away and both victims fled the scene.

The suspect initially attempted to follow, but then turned back to the station. He has been described an Asian or Indian male, about 16 to 18-years-old, fat, with black short hair. He was clean shaven wearing black jeans and a black jumper.

The incident occurred at about 3.45pm on Tuesday, October 30.

Det Sgt Granville Sellers said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have been at the station at the time of the incident who may be able to assist us with out inquiries to contact British Transport Police on freefone 0800 405040 quoting incident number 386 on October 30.

"All calls can be dealt with in the strictest of confidence."
