Grand Central is operating a ghost train on Thursday with all proceeds to the Pakistan Flood Appeal. The trip will feature an evening of ghostly goings-on, spooky tales, scary songs and lots more. The train will leave Bradford Interchange at 6.35pm, arriving back at 9.30pm and tickets cost £10 adults, £4 children and £20 for a family. Hawortheen on Main Street in Haworth next weekend offers a fantastic weekend for all the family. On the Saturday, there’s a dragon day with a parade of ghouls surrounding the giant dead dragon, with chicks on sticks in her dragon costume. On the Sunday the parade of horrors is followed by the magicians party. The fun starts at noon on both days with parades at 3pm.

Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue Fun Dog Show takes place at Oakwell Hall, Birstall, tomorrow. You can take your family pet along for some fun, and if you haven’t got a dog, there will still be lots to do. There’s a police dog display at noon with dog show entries from 12pm and judging at 1pm. There will be some pedigree classes, followed by novelty classes such as best veteran (eight years and over), dog with the waggiest tail and best crossbreed. You can also get your pet microchipped for £10 at the event.

Dare you take a trip around Victorian Bradford and learn about all manner of nasty deeds and shocking events? Afterwards, if you still have an appetite, there’s a pie and peas supper. The Halloween tour starts at The City Vaults at 6pm on Thursday, October 29 and costs £10.

Beware the Pumpkin Collector at the Royal Armouries Museum’s spooky horse show. Youngsters will be rewarded with free admission to the show if they hand over their pumpkins to The Pumpkin Collector. The pumpkins will then get splattered by The Fright Knight in this special show held every day during half-term week at the Leeds Museum.

Become bewitched this autumn when the School for Witches and Wizards returns to Eureka! in Halifax this half term until October 31. There will also be plenty of haunted fun to enjoy when the Spooky Studio for young witches and wizards opens over the half-term.
