The exhibition 107 Not Out, at the Industrial Museum, Eccleshill, is a fascinating celebration of the rich and glorious history of the internationally-renowned Bradford Cricket League. A must for any cricket lover, there are photographs and memorabilia featuring some of the great names to have played in the league, such as Sir Jack Hobbs, Sir Leonard Hutton and, more recently, Matthew Hoggard. The exhibition runs until August 15.

Do any of these words strike a chord? Mods, Rockers, Quant, Lambretta, Spangles, Magic Roundabout, The Who? If the answer is ‘yes’, then Haworth is the place where you should be this weekend, celebrating the 1960s. The village will come alive with the throbbing of engines as scooters, motorbikes, Minis and other vehicles cruise in for the weekend’s festivities. There is live music on Main Street, a record ’hop’ and a fantastic themed dance on Saturday night, as well as other street performances and re-enactors. Why not dress up, go along and join in?

Go and discover a rich gipsy heritage at Baildon Green Gipsy Fair next Saturday, from 11am to 4pm, As well as a re-creation of a traditional gipsy camp, there will be palmists, peg and flower making, demonstrations of traditional wagon artwork, dancing, children’s activities, information and food stalls.

There’s a great free family fun day out on offer in Lister Park and Cartwright Hall next Saturday, when Cycle Fest 2010 comes to town. From professional displays and learn-to-ride sessions, to bike polo and a cycle smoothie-maker, it’s a day packed with events for all ages and abilities from 11am to 3pm.

Bradford will be honouring the hard work of servicemen and women during Armed Forces Week, from Monday to Sunday, starting with a flag-raising ceremony in Centenary Square at 11am on Monday. On Friday, the Yorkshire Regiment will hold a freedom parade through the city centre at 4pm to show off their new colours. Sunday is Veterans’ Day, starting with a drumhead service on the steps of City Hall at 11.30am, followed by an afternoon of music and dance at an open-air tea dance in Centenary Square. Talk to the men and women who served in the armed forces at the Veterans Village marquee, and sample the food at the army field kitchen.
