Otley Victorian Fayre tomorrow is a fun family day out with upwards of 17,000 people attending this free event. Street entertainment includes stilt walkers, Morris dance troupes, fire artists, school singers, dancers, bell ringers and brass bands. There will be food on offer, as well as cafes and public houses offering a warm place to sit and eat. There are traditional music organs at various points around the town and donkey rides and Santa’s reindeer.

Next Sunday, as the sun sets, the famous Torchlight Procession begins in Haworth, when the band strikes up and the carollers begin the procession slowly up the Main Street, at 4.45pm. Also at the Bronte Parsonage next Saturday and Sunday is a Decoration and Stories weekend offering a chance to join the wreath making workshops, tuck into mince pies and mulled wine, and make some Christmas decorations at the drop in session from 10.30am to 1pm (booking essential) at Bronte Parsonage.

Skipton's Yuletide Festival and market, takes place tomorrow. This hugely successful event attracts tens of thousands of people from across the country. The famous market will be in full festive flow, running the full length of the High Street from 10am to 4.30pm. There will be a full range of entertainment in the town centre throughout the day, both in the main high street arena and at locations across the town.

Grassington travels back in time for the annual Dickensian Festival next Saturday when visitors are treated to a glorious array of sights, tastes and smells from a bygone era. The village is adorned in Christmas lights, the square and streets come alive with a traditional market with shopkeepers and villagers dressed in Victorian costume. There will be musicians, dancers, street entertainers and exhibitions of traditional country crafts.

Next Friday there’s a Christmas craft and produce market at Shipley town centre from 9am when you can pick the best in fair trade produce and local arts and crafts.
