Until November 4 at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery there are contemporary exhibitions including Games in the Park and the venue’s permanent collections in the Connect Gallery. Youngsters can also try building their own Cityscapes with Lowry-inspired building blocks, play with an Arab Weaver Doll’s House, or take Hockney Bear for a splash in the Imagination Gallery.

Also until November 4, there are activities taking place at Bolling Hall, where you can create your own Bolling Hall fashion wheel or time travel device to help explore the museum, while at the Industrial Museum in Eccleshill, you can see the golden age of industry recreated with demonstrations of engines that ran the mills, spinning machines and looms that helped make Bradford the textile capital of the world.

The Bingley Bonfire in Myrtle Park on Saturday, is an iconic part of Bingley life, which was started some 40 years ago. Now one of the largest firework displays in the area with entertainment provided by Pulse Radio, the Bingley Bonfire, which starts at 6.30pm, is a community service event and profits are used to help the many charitable causes and events. Refreshments will be available and Guy Fawkes will be provided by local primary schools. As a family event, a ‘no alcohol, fireworks or pets’ policy is in place and disabled facilities are available

Odsal Stadium will host a Monster Stunt and Firework Spectacular on Saturday from 7.30pm. The stunt extravaganza produced by the World Famous Extreme Stunt Show features the Guinness World Record-holding monster truck Lil’ Devil. The night will culminate in a firework display.
