THERE are plenty of cracking things to do this Easter.

Bingley Arts Centre is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31.

Hosted by Bingley Chamber of Trade, the event features live cooking demonstrations as well as The Bingley Bake Off on Good Friday with Great British Bake Off contestant Sandy Doherty, from Bradford.

Newby Hall & Gardens is located in the beautiful setting of Ripon, North Yorkshire. Here you can stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens or climb aboard the the Newby Hall Miniature Railway and take a relaxing ride alongside the River Ure.

Young visitors can let off steam in the adventure playground and, during the Easter weekend on Sunday and Monday, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet characters along a magical Easter egg trail in a woodland walk.

If you fancy some thrilling fun then head over to the Royal Armouries in Leeds for the Easter Tournament.

Running from Friday, March 30, until Monday, April 2, the tournament gives visitors the opportunity to experience ‘the thrills and spills of authentic medieval jousting.

This live-action event features internationally renowned knights from England, France, Poland and Australia battling for trophies.

There will be tales of the tournament, arming the knight demonstrations, and sword combat, along with jolly jesters and wandering minstrels.

DigiPlaySpace, based in the Spark Gallery at Eureka! children’s museum offers young visitors the opportunity to learn through robots.

This interactive play space at the museum in Discovery Road, Halifax, features digital art, gaming and technology. Children can build their own robot and make it move and test their co-ordination skills controlling a beam of light.

Join the Cadbury Easter egg hunt at East Riddlesden Hall, Bradford Road, Riddlesden, Keighley, from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Friday March 30.
