Description: 2005/6 has been a very successful year for us. Our achievements include:

• Our best ever SATs and GCSE results.
• Redecoration and refurbishment of the school building and improved ICT facilities
• Improved attendance
• A huge improvement in our computer facilities
• Fund raising for the victims of the earthquake in South Asia
• Organising a free residential experience for all YB students
• The development of a one stop shop for support for students
• The introduction of new courses in YI0 and in the sixth form
• Success on the cricket field - in competition with other schools and with one of our students starring for the Yorkshire First Eleven
• A social event to celebrate the cultures of our students

All of this and we have just about paid off an enormous half a million pounds budget deficit.
What are we trying to improve?
Our school improvement plan has learning at it's centre and contains four priorities
• Improving learning and teaching. We particularly want to improve the number of lessons that we judge to be good or better.
• Curriculum development.

We will continue to adapt our curriculum in order to ensure that it meets the needs of our students and prepares them for continuing education and the adult world

• Improving the climate for learning. We are working hard to continue to improve our ethos and the behaviour of our students. We also are continuing to improve our school buildings and resources for learning.
