Bradford charity Hope Housing is putting on an evening of dance to raise funds for homeless projects in the city.

The event, taking place at Bradford Grammar School’s Hockney Theatre, features a variety of dance, including contemporary, street, freestyle and belly dance.

The groups performing include Trishool Dance Academy, Northern School Of Contemporary Dance, Xpress and EXP Dance.

“We are holding the event to raise much-needed funds for our work with the homeless in Bradford,” said Adam Clark, Hope Housing project co-ordinator. “We’re holding a raffle at the interval and we have prizes such as a Nando’s voucher, a month of zumba classes, a month of acting classes and artwork from Made In Bradford.”

Hope Housing provides temporary accommodation for homeless people, helping them rebuild their lives.

“The high number of people sleeping rough and needing our help means that our funds are stretched to the limit,” says Adam. “This event, as well as being a great evening of dance, is an opportunity for people to come along and support the charity and the work we do to help the homeless.”

The dance event takes place on Friday, April 27, at 7.30pm. For tickets, e-mail contact@hopehousing.
